Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Ultimate Vintage Card Tracker ("UVCT," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by [LEGAL ENTITY / OWNER NAME], collects, uses, and shares information when you use ultimatevintagecardtracker.com and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information. When you create an account, our authentication provider collects your email address and a password (we do not store your password ourselves). You may also choose a display name / handle and an avatar.
- Content you submit. Card images you upload, grades and cert numbers, collection and want-list data, comments, direct messages, trade offers, listings, and feedback.
- Usage and device data. Standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and interactions with the Service, collected by us and our infrastructure providers for security and operation.
- Local storage. The Service stores some data in your browser (for example, preferences and, in non-account mode, your local collection). This stays on your device unless you sign in and sync.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide and operate the Service — store your collection, display checklists and images, run searches and comps, and power community features.
- To enable features you request, such as automated reading of slab labels (grading company, grade, cert) from images you upload, and Watch List alerts.
- To communicate with you, including account verification, notifications, and responses to feedback.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
- To improve the Service.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the Service:
- Service providers / processors. We use third parties to host and operate the Service, including [Amazon Web Services] for hosting, storage, and authentication; an AI provider for automated image recognition of card slabs; and a GIF search provider for messaging. These providers process data on our behalf.
- Other users. Content you choose to make public — such as your display name, Showcase and Trading Post listings, public discussion posts, and (if you opt in) your shared collection — is visible to other users.
- Third-party links. When you use comp or shopping links (for example, eBay, PSA, 130point, Card Ladder), you leave our Service and those sites' privacy practices apply.
- Legal. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
4. Images You Upload
Card images you upload are stored on our infrastructure and may be displayed within the Service according to your sharing choices. When you use the automated slab-reading feature, the image may be sent to a third-party AI provider to extract text such as grading company, grade, and cert number. Do not upload images containing personal or sensitive information you do not want processed or displayed.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data; some information may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention or backups) for a limited period.
6. Your Choices and Rights
You can update your profile, control whether your collection is shared publicly, and request account deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL].
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will reflect changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
